Huge congratulations to the Bruree NS Camogie team on winning the South Final today!
What a fantastic achievement and a brilliant display of determination and heart. Coming from behind at halftime in both matches shows incredible character and belief.
First, you battled past Knocklong in the playoff with a great 3-4 to 0-4 win, and then produced another fighting performance to defeat Bruff 1-3 to 1-1 in the final.
You should all be so proud of yourselves — players, coaches, teachers and supporters. A special day for Bruree NS and a memory that will last for years.
Well done girls and enjoy every minute of it — Premier South Champions!
Community Games Soccer
Huge congratulations to the Bruree-Rockhill U10 Girls indoor soccer team who were crowned All-Ireland Champions after an incredible performance in Longford.
The girls showed fantastic determination and character, producing a serious second-half comeback in a thrilling final to claim the title. A huge achievement for this talented group and brilliant scenes of celebration at the final whistle.
Well done to all the players, coaches and supporters involved. Enjoy the celebrations girls — you’ve done the parish proud!
Community Games Hurling
Bruree/Rockhill Community Games U11 hurlers secured their place in the county semi-final after an excellent display against Croagh this week. The boys produced another strong team performance, making it three impressive victories from three in the group stages.
The team now looks ahead to a semi-final clash with Murroe/Boher later this week. Well done to all the players and mentors on a fantastic achievement so far, and best of luck in the next round.
