U10's Hurling Result ( Match 1 )

Bruree 6-02 (20)

Feohanagh Castlemahon 5-05 (20)

Our u10's played out a thrilling draw this Friday evening in Bruree. In the first half Feohanagh Castlemahon lead well 3-03 to 1-00 at half time and but for brilliant goalkeeping by Cathal McCarthy we could have been in further trouble. Junior O'Donnell with the only goal of the 1st half for Bruree. An action packed 2nd half saw scores came thick and fast and at one stage Feohanagh Castlemahon lead 5-05 to 2-01. From then on Bruree scored 4-01 in the last ten minutes. Corey Kelly with the equalising goal..An outstanding performance from Cathal Mccarthy in goals and good performances from Tom Frawley, Luke Crotty, Conor Ryan and JJ Power in the backs.Michael McCarthy, Junior O'Donnell battled excellently at midfield all night. Our skillful forwards of James Cussen, Dáithí Curley,Evan O'Shea, Jay Grace and Corey Kelly were excellent all night. The match ended on a sad note with the nasty finger injury to a Feohanagh Castlemahon player. We wish him well with his recovery.

U9/10s Hurling Result ( Match 2 )

Bruree 3-02 (11)

Feohanagh Castlemahon 3-01 (10)

In a very exciting match Bruree took control early with a few early scores. Our midfielder Anais O'Brien and Ryan Shinney played some lovely hurling and gave plenty of ball to our forward lines,Tiernan McCarthy, Donnacha O'Dwyer and Sam Carey. Feohanagh Castlemahon came back into the game as it progressed and our goalie Mia O'Donnell and defenders Noah Culhane, Ellie Shinney and Henry Flynn gave everything to keep there scores to a minimum. In the second and third 10 minute periods all players got a chance to play in both attack and defence. Susanne Frawley, Mary Kate Riordan, Olivia Culhane and Jack Carey played extremely well in the second and third periods and helped keep the score board ticking over. A very determined and committed performance saw Bruree gain victory in a very close finish.
